Warlords
Warlords are the generals that lead your troops into battle. Each Warlord has pros and cons and they can be switched any time, depending on the situation.
Players will gain Warlord slots and unlock new Warlords to pick from as they level up their avatar.
1st warlord slot is unlocked at avatar creation
2nd warlord slot unlocks when your avatar reaches level 15
3rd warlord slot unlocks when your avatar reaches level 20
4th warlord slot unlocks when your avatar reaches level 30
5th warlord slot unlocks when your avatar reaches level 40
6th warlord slot unlocks when your avatar reaches level 45
7th warlord slot unlocks when your avatar reaches level 55
8th warlord slot unlocks when your avatar reaches level 60
Dwarves and Elves have different Warlords.
Each warlord is composed of five important elements:
The Warlord ability gives either a passive bonus or triggers at certain points during combat.
Movement speed influences how fast a warlord can move to a target on the map (outside of combat).
Morale determines the amount of losses until the warlords will flee from combat. A 100-morale-warlord will fight to the last troop, a 50-morale-warlord will flee when halve his troops are dead.
Each Warlord has the same 4 item slots.
Each Warlord has 3 troop slots, with different troop category and troop limit each. This is the most important aspect of a Warlord, because it will determine how many and what kind of troops he can lead into a fight.
With the Soul Forge players can level their Warlords and improve their speed, morale and slot capacity.

Warlord items
There are 4 categories / slots:
Weapon | Headgear | Armor | Shoes |
There are 3 tiers for each item, which increases their power.
Example:
Tier I: 'Spiked Armor of Reflection' | Tier II: 'Spiked Armor of Revenge' | Tier III: 'Spiked Armor of Retaliation' |
|
|
|
Effect: X% chance to block & reflect 5% of enemy damage | Effect: X% chance to block & reflect 6% of enemy damage | Effect: X% chance to block & reflect 7% of enemy damage |
Items can now be upgraded in rarity with Soul Energy, in Soul Forge building.
There are 5 rarity levels: Grey, Green, Blue, Purple and Golden.
In the table below you will see the same item mentioned previously, with its tiers and rarity levels:
Item / Rarity | Common (Grey) | Uncommon (Green) | Rare (Blue) | Epic (Purple) | Legendary (Golden) |
8% | 9% | 10% | 11% | 12% | |
![]() | 23% | 24% | 25% | 26% | 27% |
| 24% | 25% | 26% | 27% |
This means that 1 item can exist in 15 variations (3 tiers and 5 rarity levels per tier). As example, you can have the Tier 1 item in Gold, and it might be stronger than the tier 2 item in Grey.
Troops
Military buildings allow you to train three troop categories in Arkheim: Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery. Upgrading these buildings unlocks additional troop types. At the required Citadel level, you will also unlock additional slots of these buildings (up to 4 building slots per category), and this allows you to train more troops at the same time.
Warlords can only lead specified troop categories into battle (see warlord troop slots).
Troops are different for Dwarves and Elves.
Each troop type in a category has a basic strength that influences attack, defense and kills in combat.
The initiative value decides which of two troop stacks attacks first in a fight.
Both the basic strength and initiative can be enhanced with Warlords' abilities, Items and Mastery Points.
The individual combat bonus gives a passive bonus in a specific combat situation, for example against Goblins, against a troop category (infantry/cavalry/artillery), or race (Elves/Dwarves).
Training troops:
| Infantry can be trained in Barracks; |
| Cavalry can be trained in Stable; |
| Artillery can be trained in Armory. |
